“Plain Jane Sweepstakes”

Official Rules

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Must be a legal resident of the United States and the District of Columbia, and at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry to enter. The Sweepstakes runs from July 28 – September 7, 2010. The Sweepstakes is sponsored by The CW Network, LLC (“The CW” or “Sponsor”).

To enter The CW’s “Plain Jane Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”), enter your first name, last name, street address (no P.O. boxes allowed), city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and weekly trivia question (based on each week’s episode)* on the electronic entry blank accessed by pressing the appropriate sweepstakes link found in CWtv.com homepage beginning July 28, 2010 (at 12:00 PM Pacific Time [PT]). In order to be eligible, weekly entries must be e-mailed by deadline periods defined below. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

Each Promotion week (“Promotion Week”) begins on Wednesday at 12:00:01 PM Pacific Time (“EP”) and ends the following Tuesday at 11:59:59 AM PM.  Each Weekly Drawing will take place at the end of that Promotion Week.  There will be one (1) winner for each Weekly Drawing (each a “Weekly Winner”). 

*entrant need not supply correct response in order to be eligible

You may only enter once per Promotion Week during the Sweepstakes. Non-winning entries will not carry over to other Weekly Drawings Sponsor is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. All entrant information, including e-mail addresses, is subject to The CW’s Privacy Policy.

Six (6) winners in total will be selected by The CW from six (6) random Weekly Drawings of eligible entries received during the relevant Promotion Weeks (one drawing per Promotion Week). Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the relevant Promotion Week. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants are bound by these Official Rules and all decisions regarding the Sweepstakes are final. Sweepstakes entries are void if the requested information is not completed in full. Sponsor RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER OR AMEND THESE RULES AT ANY TIME WHICH WILL BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ANNOUNCEMENT; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THE PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize is $500, with a total ARV of all prizes $3,000. NO CASH WILL BE AWARDED. PRIZES MAY NOT BE EXCHANGED FOR CASH. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value.

Winners’ names may be posted on the CWtv.com internet website. By entering, participants agree to have their names posted on the site and published in local or national media without any additional compensation to the extent permitted by law.

By use of this website and by entering the Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to The CW’s Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: http://cwtv.com/thecw/privacy-policy

Winners will be notified by email. Potential winners will be required to sign and return a release document within five (5) days of notification. Noncompliance within this time period, or return of any prize notification as undeliverable, will result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate winner will be selected. All taxes on prizes are the responsibility of the winners. Prizes may not be transferred, except as provided herein. No prize substitutions or cash redemptions, except as provided herein.

All federal, state and local laws apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. By entering, participants, their agents, assigns and successors release The CW, Time Warner, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., CBS Corporation and their respective parent or affiliated companies, subsidiaries, divisions and broadcast affiliates and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all liability for any injury, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
