Toronto-born actress Shenae Grimes stars as Annie Wilson, whose life has changed dramatically since moving to Beverly Hills, on The CW’s “90210.”

Grimes caught the attention of many viewers when playing good girl Darcy Edwards on the Canadian series “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” Her character started out as a minor role, but Darcy was later made a leading character, and Grimes walked away from the series winning a Gemini Award for her performance.

Most recently, Grimes starred in “Empire State,” Wes Craven’s “Scream 4,” opposite Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Hayden Panettiere. Grimes also played teenage Shania Twain in the television movie “Shania: A Life In Eight Albums,” and appeared in the television movie “Picture This,” opposite Ashley Tisdale. She will next be seen starring in the independent film “Sugar” alongside Twilight’s Alex Meraz and True Blood’s Marshall Allman.

Furthering her deep passion for music, Grimes appeared in a music video for rock band Our Lady Peace’s single “All You Did Was Save My Life” and directed her own video which she also sings in called “Myself and I.”

Following her trip to Japan after the devastating earthquake, Grimes has started her own charitable organization SPREAD THE HEART and continues to support many other organizations efforts.

Grimes currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
