Paul Blackthorne plays Detective Lance, Laurel's (Katie Cassidy) father, who is on a quest to bring down Arrow (Stephen Amell), in The CW's new fall series "Arrow."

No stranger to television, Blackthorne was a series regular on "The River," "Lipstick Jungle," "The Dresden Files" and "Presidio Med." He also had recurring roles on "White Collar," "The Gates," "Leverage," "Big Shots," "24" and "ER." Other notable guest star appearances include "Warehouse 13," "CSI: Miami," Burn Notice" and "Monk."

Blackthorne's feature film credits include "A Christmas Carol," "Special," "Four Corners of Suburbia," "Mindcrime," "The Truth Game" and "Romeo Thinks Again." He also starred in the Oscar-nominated film "Lagaan."

Blackthorne currently lives in Los Angeles.
