The Girl Who Hates Her Hair

HAIR WARS / QUEEN LATIFAH GUEST STARS — Tyra makes a surprise visit to the house to announce that the girls will be getting makeovers by beauty guru Frederic Fekkai.  One girl has a meltdown over her new haircut but they all must use their new looks to compete in a fast-paced makeup challenge that is judged by Queen Latifah.  One model returns to the house a sore loser and causes a fight that amps up the competition for a “hair wars” photo shoot.  One model is eliminated.  Special guests include Queen Latifah, photographer & guest judge Tracy Bayne, and hairstylist Frederic Fekkai.

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:

Megan, a bartender from San Francisco, Calif., was the second girl eliminated during the seventh cycle of The CW’s hit dramality series “America’s Next Top Model,” reducing the pool from 12 girls to 11.

Following breakfast with Jay and Miss J., Tyra surprised the girls with a stylish Frederic Fekkai Hair Salon in their living room.  Tyra revealed her vision for the girls’ dramatic makeovers, and while Megan embraced her shorter blond cut, several of the girls were not pleased with their new looks.

The next day, Jay met the girls for their CoverGirl Queen Collection challenge.  They each raced against the clock to put together their entire look, from make-up to wardrobe, during brief elevator stops on a trip to the top of the skyscraper.  Queen Latifah and makeup artist Roxanna Floyd met them at the top where they judged them on their overall presentation, naming Eugena the winner.

The following day, the girls arrived at their photo shoot where they were styled by the Hair Wars weavologists and photographed by guest judge Tracy Bayne.  They had to prove that their extravagant hair-do did overshadow them, but that their personalities could shine through in their photos.  While most of the girls showed versatility and vulnerability, Megan struggled.  “I didn’t realize how hard it was to show emotion on your face,” she said.

During judging, Nigel commented that Megan had a great body and bone structure, but that she didn’t bring that to her photograph, as it was the weakest of the bunch.  “In your photograph, you were lost,” Tyra told Megan before eliminating her from the race to become “America’s Next Top Model.”
